LEARN THE BASICS

Working with weights is not the simplest form of exercise. There's a bit of a learning curve. And it's not something you want to do badly. So it's important that you work with trainers who have a deep understanding of the mechanics of the human body.

SHAPE

Improving the shape of your body is best accomplished through isolation work. A split squat or a bicep curl. Higher glutes and defined arms show up much quicker if you concentrate on only one or two muscles during each lift. The goal of each set is to generate as much intensity as possible. This is in stark contract to strength training, where the goal is to learn how to make each set as easy as possible.

STRENGTH

Strength training revolves around complex, full-body lifts. Building strength is about learning to use as much of your body as you can during any given moment. A deadlift or a squat. Of course these movements build individual muscle mass and strength, but they also teach your body how to always engage as many muscle groups as possible.

If you feel ready, and you like working hard, this is the place.
